38" Industrial Laminator for Commercial Production Work
This is a laminator that has served us well for jobs that called for 3 mil, 5 mil or the heaviest 10 mil laminating film. While it can run 1.5 mil film at very high speeds, it is not a machine made to specialize in 1.5 or other really thin films because it has HUGE Heat Shoes. The great advantage of this one for the heavier films - particularly 5 and 10 mil - is the super-size heat shoes and the ability to maintain the heat and keep the workflow at higher speeds, that lesser machines can't keep up with. (8.5" surface vs other machines' 4.5 or 5" surface...almost DOUBLE the heat impartation surface area! ) It always gave us an advantage with thicker film jobs at higher speeds. Speeds can reach 35 fpm. And with the deviation meter heat controls - you have an exact knowledge of what your workflow temperature is doing.
Also shown is the original spec sheet...it cost over $8000 new...and the sheet says it can laminate 1/2" board, although we never used it for that purpose.
