The Emergency Shunt Relay (GR 2001 E/S) is ideal for applications where loads fed by an emergency source downstream of an automatic transfer switch are to be dimmed or switched. The Emergency Shunt Relay will, upon the loss of normal power, shunt lights to full bright automatically, regardless of the position ("on", "dimmed" or "off") of the wall switch or dimmer.
Emergency shunt relay is factory mounted in 4"x4" junction box with 2 gang plaster ring. Emergency shunt relay shall be ETL listed to UL STD 916 and UL STD 924, with a 16 gauge steel barrier o separate normal and emergency power. The equipment shall allow both normal and emergency lighting to be turned on and off together from the wall switch. In the event of loss of normal power, emergency lighting to be shunted on automatically for the duration of the power outage. Upon restoration of normal power, lighting to be returned to its last setting (ON or OFF).
