1983 caterpillar D3B

I have a nice tight cat D3B for sale. This dozer has always been a great runner for me and very reliable. It has an automatic transmission, 3 forward and 3 reverse. I bought it to put in a driveway, clear a building site, etc. for building a new home. I have 80 acres and found the machine very valuable for a great number of projects. I spent over $11,000.00 updating and repairing this machine. I have the receipts for the work completed and a complete set of manuals to go along at sale. I replaced the exhuast system, seat and armrests, brake bands, seals in the steering clutch vaulves, and a complete undercarrige. I did not replace the pads, they were still in good condition. I also spent the time replacing all the guards on the undercarrige.
There is no hour meeter on this machine so I don't know total time. I keep track of the hours I put on the machine on a calender. I have less than 200 hours on the new undercarrige.
This is a great runner and very dry machine. It uses very little engine oil and has a fresh oil change. If there was one drawback right now, the battery seems a little weak. I am willing to replace the battery at the time of sale.
It could use some new paint but don't let this deter you from considering this dozer, paint only makes it look nice, the machnical condition is what makes it reliable and gets the work done.
