CalComp TechJet 5500 Wide Format Graphic Plotter
Ideal for entry level CAD applications, TechJET 5500S models include 8 Mb RAM and four 44 milliliters (mL) CMYK ink cartridges, with the capacity to load two 44 mL black ink cartridges for high-speed monochrome printing. TechJET 5500 models provide 16 Mb RAM, an on-board PostScript Level 2 compatible interpreter and Ethernet interface as standard, to accommodate virtually any wide-format printing application. Both 5500S and 5500 have a maximum printing resolution of 360 dots per inch (dpi) in color and 720 dpi monochrome.
All TechJET 5500 series printers handle both cut-sheet and roll media. The printers come with an adjustable-width adapter for roll media and an automatic media cutter that neatly separates each finished print.
Used extensively in digital printing, TechJET 5500 printers are compatible with all popular computers, workstations and third party RIP packages. By offering more standard data formats than competing models, TechJET 5500 printers provide compatibility with all popular software packages.
Standard features also include automatic data-format recognition firmware, which allows users to switch between computer programs without having to change settings; a 32-character LCD control panel; and automatic and user-definable printing modes for total command over the printing process
