Best lock sequence interlock / key retainer /best core

This is a lightly used, old stock, obsolete Best Lock sequence lock, Model 23F72T-627 (brushed aluminum).
This lock operates like a safety deposit box in that it requires two separate keys in order to open it. In the unlocked position, both keys are retained and cannot be removed.
The case is solid extruded aluminum and measures 2 inches wide by 2 inches deep by 4 inches long. The bolt is one inch wide by 3/8 inch thick and has a throw of 7/8 of an inch with a 3/16 inch steel security pin insert that makes sawing difficult.
Included will be two Best cores, one operating key for each core (keyed different) and one control key. The keys are factory stamped "It is unlawful to duplicate this key," a stamp that is no longer available. There is no installation instruction sheet with the lock.
This lock was probably manufactured in the 1980s. It is in good condition with a few minor age-related marks.
