Presenting you a Solid Brass Theodolite with made to look like antique finish. The height of this theodolite model is 9" high, The diameter of its base is 3 1/2" and it weighs a little more than 1.8kg
New in condition with made to look like antique finish. It has a workng compass, telescope and many small glass lens for magnified image of the meter readings. The screws at its base can be adjusted to bring the theodolite in level with uneven surfaces. It also has a glass bubble for alignment. The instruments rotates 360 degrees on its base (the base fixed at one position). It has many screws at different points as shown in pictures.

A Theodolite is an instrument for measuring both horizontal and vertical angles, as used in triangulation networks. It is a key tool in surveying and engineering work, particularly on inaccessible grounds, but theodolites have been adapted for other specialized purposes in fields like meteorology and rocket launch technology. A modern theodolite consists of a movable telescope mounted within two perpendicular axes, the horizontal and the vertical axis. When the telescope is pointed at a desired object, the angle of each of these axes can be measured with great precision, typically on the scale of arcseconds. Measurements of the altitude and azimuth of a weather balloon at precise time intervals are used to compute the estimated wind velocity of the atmosphere.
