This is a great product to find leaks! Water, air, gas, or any leak that makes a little noise which all do!
Basically it is an electronic stethocope with a super nice headset for hearing the slightest disturbances.
A short and long probe are included in a convienant compact case. The long probe can be used when the pipe or leak is hard to reach.
We personally use these products to test for leaks under concrete slabs, in walls and ceilings in our apartment buildings.
You can also test for underground leaks by first driving a stake into the ground and then probing the stake.
Mechanics also use these in automobiles to try and pinpoint the sources of buzz, squeaks, and rattles.
