The Tektronix SD44 is an optical to electrical (O/E) converter for use with the Tektronix CSA803 series and 11800 series sampling oscilloscopes equipped with an SD-2x or SD-3x Electrical Sampling Head. The SD-44 can be plugged directly into a sampling or power slot or attached via sampling head extender cable for remote use. Optical signal input on the SD-44 is a standard FC/PC fiber optic connector. Other connector types can be accommodated by using hybrid fiber optic jumper cables or an assortment of hybrid mating adapters. Features and characteristics of the SD-44 include:
Bandwidth (Optical*): DC to 8.0 GHz (* Optical bandwidth (-6 dB electrical power))
Noise Equivalent*: 15 pW per Hz (*Root Hz into 50 Ohm)
Conversion Gain*: 20 mV/mW @ 850nm and 30 mV/mW @1350nm
Output Connector Style: K (2.92 mm)
This module comes with a fiber cable.
It has been fully tested and currently performs within acceptable calibrated specs.
