Dovetail at narrowest point = 1.583"
Dovetail at widest point = 1.965"
Locating screw is = 1/4-20 TPI
Threading stops are used to relocate the cross slide to the same point for each successive chip. The compound is used to dial in for additional chip.
Hint: Set the compound 29 to 29 1/2 degrees to the right, (to the right is facing the machine from the operators side, swing the tail of the compound to the right) for right hand external threads.
