I ve used both Polypropylene & Polyester for W.V.O. Hands down polypropylene is much more durable and more efficient than Polyester. They don t come out white when washed, but still work as good as the first time. I'm still using the same ones after a year.
Cheaper Polyester bags stretch with heat and weight of oil when full. They fray & lint ball up if you clean them.

If you straining beige cloudy oil and you try gravity filter WHO with 25m polypropylene before you de-water it, the water tension will block the fine filters the oil and fill up the bag. You must filter prior to using these final filters.
To clean the bags turn them inside out, scrape as much off as you can (with a Teflon utensil) and soak them in a bucket of very HOT water and glycerin. Be generous with the glycerin. After rinsing I put them in the washer using glycerin and detergent. Mesh is much easier to clean than Felt.
Sewn-seam bags are the most common, economical, and easy to handle.
