The Harris RF-350K is a high performance continuous coverage solid state communications transceiver covering 1.6 - 30 MHz, with a power output of 100 watts PEP. I actually used this equipment in my shack for a period of time. It is in very good cosmetic condition and excellent condition electrically.
This unit is being sold exclusive of an operational power supply, which I will explain below.
When you view the unit from the front, the lower one third of the face of the unit, just below the handles, is the power supply. The Harris power supply for this unit is extremely heavy and very noisy (hum), due to a specially designed transformer. When I mention noisy, I mean objectionably so. The power supply is integral to the unit, but, easily removable via a latch and hinge system. The unit is designed to be used without the power supply attached. In my opinion it looks better this way, and is vastly more manageable from a weight and bulk perspective.
I believe this unit(power supply only) suffered a failed electrolytic capacitor, though I am not positive. The power supply is inoperable . This should be easily repairable. But, due to the noise and weight, I did not bother. I simply replaced it with a small 13.8 volt DC switching power supply. The radio is designed for portable and marine operations. So, it operates on simple DC power.
