The Infinity controller is the most versatile piece of equipment invented by J-KEM and is the central component of many of the custom instruments we make. With custom programming the Infinity Controller can become anything from a pH titrator to a reaction controller regulating temperature, pressure, and pH. Examples of instruments made from the Infinity Controller include:
Adjusts the pressure of a reaction to maintain a constant distillation rate of eliminated water.
Automatically sets up reactions and monitors key reaction parameters to determine catalyst activity. Logs reaction data to remote PC.
Adds specified reagent(s) to a reaction as a function of reaction temperature or pH.
Regulates the flow of nitrogen gas to maintain reaction pressure to 0.002 psi.
Analog inputs: 8 +/-18 bit resolution
Analog output: 4 (or 8) (12-bit resolution)
Automates 1000 unattended runs of charging reactor with substrate, logging catalyst activity, cleaning the reactor, and recharging.
Adds specified reagent(s) as a function of reaction temperature, pH or other parameter.
Solid Phase Reaction Controller
Mixes and filters solid phase resins according to user entered reaction profile.
Adjusts the reactor pressure of a vacuum distillation to maintain a constant distillation rate of reaction by-products.
Charges (evacuates) fluid lines on F-16 jets to predefined pressure points and monitors for leaks.
Uploads Excel spreadsheet of pilot plant reaction data including time, temperature, and reagent addition volumes then precisely reproduces the reaction in the lab.
Examples of our Custom Instruments
Never a static design! J-KEM's Infinity Controller uses a dynamic memory system that allows J-KEM to modify or even load completely new programs into the controller via e-mail in the convenience of your own lab. Dynamic memory allows the Infinity Controller to run new applications as research requirements change.
J-KEM Scientific s Infinity controller has a built-in utility that allows you to load program updates or enhancements to your controller as they become available.
1. J-KEM writes the enhanced program at its facility in St. Louis. J-KEM will send you the new program as an attachment to an email. The new program will have the extension of: *****.bin.
2. To upload the new program to your Infinity Controller, your PC will need the software on the bottom of this page
1. Right click on the program Infinity.exe below and select Save Target As.. from the pop-up menu. Save this file either to your C drive or the Desktop of your PC. Infinity.exe is a self-extracting zip file that contains the PC software needed to upload the new program file to the Infinity controller.
2. Save the new program file (**.bin) that you received by email to your computer s C drive.
3. Double clicking on the Infinity.exe file that was saved to your computer (don t double click the program on this web page) will create a new folder on your C drive titled J_KEM. The J_KEM folder contains the software needed to upload the new program. The J_KEM folder also contains a ReadMe.txt file that provides step-by-step instructions on how to upload the new program, it is helpful to print this file.
NOTE: Some corporate web filters will not allow you to download a .exe file. If your system will not allow you to download Infinity.exe, then try this:
1. Right click on the program Infinity.abc below and select Save Target As.. from the pop-up menu. Save this file either to your C drive or the Desktop of your PC. Once it has been saved, rename the file to Infinity.exe . Once you have the Infinity.exe file, simply continue as outlined above.
