The 4005-DPM Super Mate pluggable module is part of 3M TelComm s 25 pair Modular Splicing System (MS2). This module is used for adding, removing, transferring and rearranging circuits without interrupting service. These changes can be made 25 pairs at a time without cutting or resplicing conductors into new modules. The 4005-DPM Super Mate can terminate 25 conductor pairs and plug to either a 4000-D Super Mini splicing module or to another Super Mate. The Super Mate accommodates 22-28 AWG (0.8-0.32 mm) solid copper conductors with PIC, pulp or paper insulation in the element s upper insulation displacement contact. The element has a 90. twist so that the bottom sliding contact can be plugged onto a element in a Super Mini or another Super Mate. The 4005-DPM Super Mate pluggable module can be stacked up to 7 modules high.
