update to the desciption: Backlight is white LED. LCD is monochrome reverse (white pixels, dark blue background) power is +5V. Needs external controller.
I'm still hunting(for the best datasheet) and http://benryves.com/bin/PG320240WRM-HNNIS1.pdf is the most useful datasheet I've found, and I've managed to get a picture on the LCD using it. I'm still not sure about the requirements for the M voltage (I alternate 0V and 5V every frame) or the ADJ contrast adjustment (I'm using a potentiometer between VDD and VSS). I'll let you know if I find any more information; I haven't managed to blow up anything yet, which is a good start, but I'm never too keen to rely on guesswork!
