This Pizza Sausage Depositor is about as close as you will find to the $25,000.00 Pizzamatic 500B.
I bought this last year from a guy in Wisconsin that made it. He was an engineer, welder, inventor kind of guy. I paid him $850.00
Putting bulk sausage on a pizza has always been a time consuming task. Not to mention the cross contamination you can cause with your hands going from raw sausage to other ingredients.
The way this works is: You load the pot with bulk raw sausage, then you turn or crank the threaded handle down which lowers and squeezes the sausage through the holes at the bottom of the pot which is over the pizza. Then as the sausage is hanging, you use the supplied wire cutter and pull it past all the hanging sausage and the pieces drop on the pizza.
I think the guy still didn t perfect it, because in my opinion the wire should be sharper or maybe use a knife, and it s pretty hard to turn the handle if its loaded to the top, so maybe adding a longer handle would gain more leverage. My guess is the pot can hold about 30-40lbs of raw bulk sausage. Getting a sharper cut wire for a few dollars or a long knife that lays across the cut bar would certainly help. Adding some kind of motorized mechanism or air cylinder would probably perfect this machine.
I showed it to my local health inspector and he said he would let it pass because the pot is an NSF approved heavy aluminum pot and the pusher is 2 thick nylon, and the cutter is stainless steel. There are thirty two holes that the sausage falls through. The thing weighs 36lbs. It s 37 high when the handle is all the way up, 15 deep, and 19 wide. The sausage holding pot is 12" in diameter.
This is a one of a kind machine, that is ideal for depositing raw bulk sausage to pizzas. It's a pretty cool invention and ideal for any pizza restaurant. It would cost you much much more than this to try duplicate it.
