How many bags can I print with a single roll of hot stamping ink?
That depends on how many lines you print, but as a rule of thumb, count on printing roughly ten thousand bags per roll of ink. The cost of ink per bag is a tiny fraction of a cent.
How do I know the right printing temperature for my product?
Setup is extremely simple to do and should take no more than a few minutes. Before you begin read all machine documentation carefully as it includes important safety information. Turn on Coder. Set up coder temperature knob to level one. Put bag in coder and test. If the print is not easily discernible increase coder temperature to the next level. Wait a couple of minutes to allow for the coder to reach the target temperature. Repeat the process until you get the minimum temperature necessary to print code.
Can this coder print on leather?
These powerful little coders are designed to print onto flexible materials, such as plastics, cellulose (such as cellophane, paper, and cardboard) as well as thin wood. We have not tested them on leather.
Can I print my logo, use a particular font, or print my own design?
Only if you have the type or design custom-made to fit the type holder on your coder. As we do not do this ourselves we cannot warranty the results.
