12 plus melanistic ringneck pheasant hatching eggs
Here are 12 (plus an extra or two) fresh, fertile hatching eggs from my flock of the Melanistic mutation of the ringneck pheasant.
All the breeders were bred on this farm and I have been diligent every year in selecting for the darkest birds to be used as breeders. I finally have what I believe to be some of the nices melanistics around!
These birds are bred in a large pen in a colony environment with a hen to rooster ratio of about 5 to 1.
These birds have proven very healthy and adaptable to the worst that a Wisconsin winter can throw at them!
All my breeders are fed a high protein breeder ration along with oyster shell and Vionate supplement. They have been vaccinated for Coryza, Blackhead and Larenogitis. They have been treated for Blackhead and wormed. They are tested Pullorum free.
