Aluminum rail is about 3.5" x 3.5" with 2" diameter center hollow section
Double ball bearing rail is about 2 5/16" wide
Aluminum slide platform is about 8" x 5" with wrap-around section
This unit was salvaged from a Festo pneumatic linear postioning unit. The cylinder was bad but the slide was fine. I thought this unit was a great start for a hobby CNC Axis.
I removed the air cylinder parts to reduce weight, but this unit is still quite heavy. It is built very solid.
The useable slide travel is about 23" max.
There is some minor scuff marks on the 3.5" aluminum rail, but they do not affect operation or use whatsoever.
The bearing assembly works smooth.
