Unlike other solvent based ink removing spotters that require tons of agitation and dirty up a ton of blotting towels, Lift-INK Carpet Spotter is an emulsifying ink, dye, and marker remover. With most inks, you simply apply the solution, agitate lightly with your spotting spatula, allow to dwell for 2 to 3 minutes, and extract with water. Lift-INK is a faster, easier, and better product for removing a wide variety of ink, dye, and marker spots. Its pleasant scent with no strong solvent odor makes it easier to use in homes and businesses. Lift-INK is multi-purpose solvent formulated for use on carpet and fabric that is designed to remove ballpoint pen, stamp pad , duplicating, marking, writing, felt tip and colored art inks. It also works effectively on latex, spray, and other types of paints. It can also be used to remove shoe polish, cosmetics and adhesives. It has been specially formulated to be in compliance with the latest voc emission regulations. Lift-INK is both water soluble and solvent soluble. Most often stains can be removed by applying water and extracting. Unlike other non-volatile spotters, Lift-INK will rinse free from the fabric with water. This means no re-soiling problems.
1. Always pretest for colorfastness and fiber distortionin an inconspicuous area. Do not apply to colorsensitive fibers, leather, satin, silk, suede, velvet, noncolorfastwool, or any fabric that can be damaged bywater based solutions. Do not use on acetate as fabricwill dissolve on contact.2. Remove as much of the spilled material as possibleprior to solution application. If particle or powderspill, dry vacuum. If liquid spill, blot with colorfast,absorbent towel. If sticky material, use spotting spatulaor dull knife to remove as much of the material aspossible.3. Apply a small amount of spotting solution to toweland blot the stain. Agitate into spot with spottingspatula, tamp area with spotting brush, or blot spotwith colorfast absorbent towel. Repeat this processuntil the great majority of colored pigment is removedfrom the fabric. Apply solution lightly, directly to theremaining stain. Agitate lightly. Allow solution todwell for 2-3 minutes.4. Where appropriate, add a small amount of wateror PERKY PLUS, agitate and extract with water. Repeatthis process until stain is removed. If fabric is notwater compatible, use a volatile solvent to flush LIFTINK and the stain from the fabric.5. Note: When using multi-purpose solvents such asLIFT INK., always consider the possible negative effectson backing materials such as latex, foam cushion,and other stabilizing material.
