500 gms aluminium powder indian black flake 4-6 micron

500 gms Indian Black Flake. 4 - 6 micron particle size.
Cut through the hype and myths about Dark Aluminium. What are the facts?
They all vary in color from dark to very dark grey, some have a slightly silvery look about them. None have Carbon added to them the only additive is normally Stearin. 'Darkness' is not always an indication of reactivity
They all have a particle size of between 2 and 8 microns.
They all have some kind of coating (usually Stearin) added during the manufacturing process.
They are all manufactured by the same basic process; some with new machinery some with old but the end result is powder composed of very small flake shaped particles.
Contary to popular belief the German Dark is not the most powerful. The Indian Dark is the most reactive of the three followed by the German and lastly the American but the difference is academic as you would be hard pushed to notice it in anything you use them for.
The Indian is the least expensive as production costs in India are cheaper than in Germany or America.
So actually the main difference is cost!
Why pay more for the same thing?
