Cylinders are heavy duty industrial or mobile equipment type with welded construction and induction hardened chrome plated cylinder rods. Most manufacturers of cylinders in this price range use plain chrome plated rods making them less suited to the hash working enviroments of mobile equipment. Piston & rod glands are made of cast ductile iron for longer service life compared to competitive cylinders with aluminum pistons/glands and the rod glands are threaded in, not retained with cheap snap rings or winding wires.
