This skidder was designed to pull behind just about anything you can put a hitch ball on, ATV's, Tractors, Riding Mowers etc.
Most of the skidders on here show you how they back over the log and lift it. Ours was designed to back over the log just as the others do but also to drag them in from inaccessible places.
We use a wireless remote 3000lb Winch it power in and out with free spin. Which makes it very easy to snag your log and pull it to the skidder with very little effort. The arc also lays back to allow you easier access when pulling a log up out of a ravine or ditch. We feel it is a good design and it works great. The log in the photo was est. to be around 700 to 800 pounds and it handled it with no problem.
It is constructed of 2" X 2" Square Tubing. We built it with 1" axel with 16 X 6.5 X 8 Tires. It has Wheel guards and it comes with all the hardware and chains (shown in the photos)
It is very well built and it's a strong machine.
These plans are done so the average man/woman can follow them...
